I support the death penalty for blasphemy – Bashir Ahmad

Bashir Ahmad, Special Assistant to the President Muhammadu Buhari on Digital and New Media has given his opinion on the death sentence of 22-year-old Sharif-Aminu who was sentenced to death for Blasphemy against Prophet Muhammad.

Bashir in a tweet wrote, “I can’t pretend or keep silent. I support the death penalty for BLASPHEMY”.

Sharif-Aminu was sentenced to death by a Sharia Court after a broadcast of his music which extolled a certain Imam above Prophet Muhammad was circulated on whatsapp.

If the government and her officials support Sharia Law, how is it that the Kano State governor, Abdullahi Ganduje who was caught on camera stuffing dollars into his clothes wasn’t tried in the Sharia Court?

It’s quite obvious that the Sharia Court is a political construct built by the elite, momarchs and oligarchs of the North to keep the people impoverished and enslaved.
