Nigerian musician, Ogulu Damini popularly known as Burna-Boy is currently under fire by the Nigerian Twitter community.
Burna-Boy’s travails on twitter started few weeks ago when he turned down a sing off competition from Reekado Banks stating that Reekado is not worthy, the singer also stated earlier that he was going to quit the Twitter app because he’s too real for the app.
A lot of Nigerians on Twitter including American socialite, Denola Grey thought the reply to Reekado was completely unnecessary, Denola also tweeted that it was mean spirited.
Burna-Boy was already on the bad side of the Nigerian community on twitter before he made things worse by giving his opinion on Funke Akindele’s arrest, Funke and her husband were arrested for hosting a party despite the #COVID19 lock down.
BurnaBoy made videos on Instagram stories mocking Nigerians, saying that they should use the same energy they used in forcing the authorities to arrest Funke to call their government to order and make them accountable following the fire that occurred at the Accountant General’s office.
All though Burna-Boy later took down the video realzing that he messed up, Nigerians on twitter renamed him the #Ikoroduluckydube literally meaning a Lucky Dube prototype in a remote area of Lagos called Ikorodu.
Here are some of the tweets :

So I woke up to see #IkoroduLuckyDube trending 😂
That’s a good lesson:
NOBODY can talk shit about Nigerians on Twitter and get away with it.You have never spoken up for us,
You have never joined our agitations,
But you want to talk crap.Odogwu with the brain of an IsiEwu.

This is not dragging.. Falz the bad guy is more of Fela and more lyrical relevant that Burna Boy. Burna is no doubt a good musician but Falz music addresses present day ills in our society and governance.#IkoroduLuckyDube Covid419 Atiku

Turning Burna Boy into #IkoroduLuckyDube shows how fast life cums on your face. Nigerians are like God and Burna is like Nebuchadnezzar, when you show too much pride, they’ll reduce to to the level wey you go start to de chop grass.

Come to think of it, I'm yet to see the lyrics and content in Naira Marley's songs. The seeming 'massive' support he commands from Nigeria youths, is clear evidence that(with due respect) most of our young ones lack the mental capacity to articulate properly.#IkoroduLuckyDube

Long long time ago….
An African giant was nominated for grammy awards in 2019,but went to Los Angeles to collect it,little did he know he was supposed to receive it in Ikorodu 2020 and hence the title #IkoroduLuckyDube @burnaboy 😂😂😂The End. https://t.co/DsOaep9HZS

That's how you people called Banky W "Obalende Chris Brown" now you are calling Burna Boy #IkoroduLuckyDube
You people no dey fear God? pic.twitter.com/soemqie0x7

I find the hashtag #IkoroduLuckyDube so disrespectful to the raggae legend. You can as well compare that empty headed buffoon to someone else and not Lucky Dube please. Lucky Dube is a legend and respect must be added to his name, please!

I saw #IkoroduLuckyDube trending and I just knew it was Burna boy.
Someone even called him odogwu with the brain of isiewu 😅😅😅
