Transcorp Plc, Nigeria’s foremost investment conglomerate has accepted the resignation of it’s President and Group CEO, Valentine Chineto Ozigbo with effect from March 25.
The award-winning Mr Ozigbo who has been with Transcorp for eight years is being excused to enable him leave to pursue a career in public service.
He remains a non-executive director of the conglomerate. He is being replaced by Owen Omogiafor, the current Chief executive officer of Transcorp Hotel.
A brilliant chartered accountant and banker of more than 17 years experience,Val Ozigbo is aspring to contest for the governorship of Anambra State in 2021 under the banner of PDP. Ozigbo is evidently the front-runner in the crowded gubernatorial race in his state.
