Henry’s Monaco kicked out of French cup

Club side Monaco of ligue1 saw their season take an even worse trun after a 3-1 home defeat by Metz in the French cup on Tuesday.

Thierry Henry’s struggling side who havent won at home in the league this season and, stuck in the top fight’s relegation zone, failed to bounce back from last weekend’s 5-1 thrashing by strasbourg.

Monaco got off with a poor start at the stade louis II, as Gautgier Hein pounced on the sloppy play in the homes defence to curl a magnificent left-footed strike into the top corner to give his second-tier side 32nd minute lead.

Even after the second half entry of Cesc Fabregas as a substitute failed to inspire the losing home side, as the visitors wrapped up victory with another wonderful attack from the visitors, cutting hapless home defence to shreds before Ibrahima Niane tapped home.
