Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom is renaming a primary school after Ochanya Ogbaje, the 13-year-old girl who died after being raped by her uncle and his son.
She died of complications arising from the rape carried out by the father and son.
Punch reports that Ortom, during an interaction with journalists, said that a school in the local government Ochanya lived in will be given a facelift and renamed after her.
He said:
“I have instructed the SUBEB boss to give facelift to the LGEA primary school, Ogene Amejo in Okpokwu local government area where the late Ochanya who was allegedly raped by her uncle and son had her primary education.
We shall provide all instructional materials for the school and name it after her.”
