Atiku reacts to victory at PDP Presidential Primary, full results

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar emerged winner of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential primary election.

He received the highest number of votes in the exercise which was held in Port Harcourt from Saturday to Sunday.

He scored 1,532 votes, while his closest rival, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, polled 693.

There were a total of 3,274 accredited delegates, with Datti Baba-Ahmed getting five votes and rooted to the bottom of the table.

Atiku reacted to his victory via Twitter, thanking PDP delegates for choosing him.

He wrote, ”@OfficialPDPNig, thank you for choosing me. This is a victory for all of us. The task to get Nigeria working again starts now. #NigeriaWillWork#LetsGetNigeriaWorkingAgain”
