DG DSS detained by SARS over siege on the National Assembly

Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo, has sacked the Director-General of the Department of State Service, Lawal Daura, following the blockade of the National Assembly by DSS operatives on Tuesday.

Masked operatives of the Department of State Services earlier on Tuesday prevented lawmakers, staff and journalists from entering the National Assembly.

The sacking of Daura was disclosed by Osinbajo’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande .

Meanwhile, according to Bamikole Omisore, media aide to the Senate President Bukola Saraki, the sacked Daura is now being detained by the operatives of Special Anti-Robbery Squad.
